La Fuente Prosthetics was founded in 1983 by Henry La Fuente, a Board Certified Ocularist. He has been practicing in Oklahoma City ever since. Our Maxillofacial and Artificial eye prosthetics are custom fitted using the newest technology available. Henry La Fuente holds various patents and devotes numerous time to the research and development of prosthetics. Henry has a patent for being the first to fabricate a dilating prosthetic eye. He has been instrumental in devising ways for patient’s to maintain a healthy socket without the need for surgery. Some of his other notable developments are the La Fuente Expanding Conformer as well as the Facial Reconstruction Splint which are used worldwide by his colleagues.
In 2004, La Fuente Prosthetics began making prosthetic limbs with the addition prosthetists Blake Barlow and Billy Wilkerson. We pride ourselves on providing the patient with excellent service from start to finish. We can provide prosthetics with the newest technology such as microprocessor knees like Ottobock’s C-leg, as well as myoelectric technology for controlling upper-extremity prosthetics.
Our prosthetists have over 25 years of combined experience, and emphasize one on one patient care. Our prosthetists do all of their own work from start to finish. They maintain a steady relationship with each of our patients. Patient’s often remark how unique our facility is because we provide such personalized care.
